Dr. Cutbirth grew up in Magnolia and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1976. As a child from the ’60’s a mouthful of cavities left him with a surprisingly good relationship with his dentist! “I felt like I grew up in his office and had fun joking around and getting to know the dentist. I hadn’t considered it as a profession, however, until I found myself without a job at age 25. A chance to re-evaluate my life and find God’s plan for me led me to take a personality test to find out what I wanted to do. Dentistry was at the top of the list so after I talked to my dentist and a friend at church who was in dental school I decided to go back to college and prepare to apply for admission to dental school. Fortunately, I was accepted into the dental program at The University of Texas Dental School in Houston in 1985.” Dr. Cutbirth was an expert at being a dental patient so it made him a very compassionate dental student at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. He graduated in 1990 and moved back to Magnolia with his wife Elizabeth to open a dental practice. Family and faith are paramount to Dr. Cutbirth and the driving force of treating patients with dignity and respect and providing exceptional dental care in a very positive, professional office environment. Dr. Cutbirth and Elizabeth have three children. They’re big Baylor University fans, where both of their sons attended college. Their oldest son Steven and his wife Kelly now have a family of their own in Elgin. These days Dr. Cutbirth and Elizabeth spend as much time as they can with Amelia, Clara, Ben, and Delaney (and Steven and Kelly too). Their middle child, Elizabeth Anne attended dental school at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, Dr. Cutbirth’s alma mater, and now owns her own dental practice with her husband, Anthony Osborne, D.D.S. Their youngest son, Robbie, graduated from Baylor University in 2021 and lives in Elgin with his wife Noelle.
